No worries, you can get it on Lay-by Lay-by is a flexible payment solution that allows customers to pay for a product over a period of time by spreading the payment into multiple instalments. The customer pays for the product up front, but only takes it home once the total amount of the product is settled.
The Lay-by method of payment is well known in South Africa and regulated by the Consumer Protection Act.
At Premier Tech we offer purchases on lay-by under the following Terms And Conditions.
1. Lay-By Process
- Eligibility: Our Lay-by option is available to all customers who wish to purchase items without immediate payment.
- Selecting Items: Choose the item you want to purchase and inform us that you’d like to use the lay-by option.
- Deposit: Pay an initial deposit of 20% of the cost of the item to secure the item(s).
- Payment Plan: This is completely up to the customer but the total amount must be settled before or on the last day of the lay-by period.
- Completion: Once you’ve made all payments, you can collect your item.
2. Payment Terms
- Deposit: The initial deposit is non-refundable.
- Cancellation: If you decide not to proceed, we’ll refund your payments minus the deposit.
- Item Availability: Items are reserved for you during the lay-by period.
- Price Changes: If the item’s price changes during lay-by, you’ll pay the original price.
3. Duration
- No lay-by for items priced below R5000.00
- Up to 30 days for items in the price range of R5000.00 to R9999.99
- Up to 60 days for items in the price range of R10000.00 to R19999.99
- Up to 90 days for items in the price range of R20000.00 to R50000.00 and above
- Extensions of lay-by period may be granted upon request, subject to approval.
4. Collecting Items
- Completion: Collect your items once the full amount is settled.
- Identification: Bring valid ID and proof of payments.
- Storage: We’ll store your items securely until collection.

- Condition of Items: Preloved tech items are sold as-is. Check their condition before starting lay-by.
